Future Leaders

Two year olds are a busy group - physically and verbally! Our two year old program, also known as the Future Leaders classroom, fosters the relationship building that occurs at this age, supporting intellectual and social development.

We encourage curiosity and play with 
manipulative toys, especially since  they are used to promote eye-hand coordination. Teachers make daily routines such as toileting, meal times and interactions as fun as possible! Picture books and music and movement are used to increase color, shape and number recognition.

Teachers help foster awareness in two year olds by creating dramatic play activities so children can dress-up and role-play. The teachers will also help create social emotional interactions among the two year olds in appropriate ways. This develops new skills, such as problem-solving, self-care routines and conversation.

To facilitate parental involvement, teachers provide daily information electronically to document and share the child’s experiences.
